McDonald's bathroom are still closed but the drive up is open and also the curb side pick up. Our new way of life has somewhat been transitioned into a first come first serve and please wait your turn.

'...so as I was wondering if you get hungry and you have no car are you going to die of hunger?' I saw three young kids all waiting by a McDonald's- looking bored. But then, a new kid rode up on a bike. HE had gotten his order. The next kid took the bike and ride through the line. I guess- bikes count? Hahaha.

Enjoyed!

'in the streets and the onse' Spelling error... 'ones'

A very well-written story about the drive-thru services that are only available for people who have cars or can order onlibe.

Typo
the onse(ones) who don't own a car.

Well, it is patently obvious that our Iza is out of smiles and short jokes about the situation and has moved on to 'smiling anger'...!! What a WONDERFUL offering, my lady, that so very beautifully points out the idiocy of so much of these regulations! ;) Thanx for sharing your angry smile!! ;) :) Yvette

the onse who don't --> the ones who don't

Hi, my friend. LOL So, according to this Mc Donalds is the only place to get food? That may be their policy, but Burger King right across the street will probably be happy to sell some food to whoever, No? Good story though. Bob

The scene I witness was at McDonalds, and as far as I heard the same thing was everywhere.

"and the onse who don't a car? Do not know if this was intentional. Instead of those who don't one a car? not to keen about using "hommie" It is an old urban vernacular and your use appears to take away from a delightful observation and story.

That's a thought, there are so many reasons why things have gone pear shaped since the corona threat came into being, I guess this is really a reason why pandemics should be banned from all future activities, well done Iza, blessings, Roy.
Typo : And (onse) That don't own a car. Ones.

I thought this was one of the best posts in the series. This is a very serious issue that you highlight here and the image of the man trying to walk through the McDonald's and being rejected is really powerful. It really speaks to how the high tech world we are creating is shutting out whole groups of people who don't have cell phones, can't drive, or don't compute or have credit cards. Sure it's great for Microsoft, Apple and Amazon (Bezos made 200 billion during the Coronacrisis) but for the average person who likes living face to face, me included, its nothing short of tragic. estory

I am on the same boat my friend, I can't drive and when I shop I end up buying more than I can carry, because I don't want to walk back to the store.

This is a great humorous story, a satire, making fun of what is going on today. However, you do have a point about what do those who are homeless or can't drive do.

Iza Deleanu,

Thank you for sharing your chapter. There were a few humorous parts, and I like your take on the current global situation. There were a few things I noticed while reading this, one is a spelling error. You wrote "onse" instead of ones. The other is repetition in words. Toward the beginning you were using store a lot, this can be substituted for synonyms like market. Overall, I really enjoyed this.

Sincerely,

A.Fortier
