I think this is a well written poem about the survivors guilt we have at the deaths of our loved ones, if we missed a chance to say goodbye.

Those taken way too soon can leave an open gaping hole that seems like it would never close. So strong and raw in emotion. The feeling of regret and yearning for her to still be there but also the acceptance that she is gone. Yet with that acceptance, the guilt still haunts. I love this poem.
