This is a very poignant poem. Fall is such a beautiful yet ominous time of year.
I get the feeling of joy and "despair," as you say when reading your poem. All the fallen leaves are the dying or death you write about. Evergreens are much hardier trees than maple or oak, because they do not falter, even in extreme weather.

This is a very poignant poem. Fall is such a beautiful yet ominous time of year.

A very well-written ABC poem about Autumn that comes again. The evergreen trees are safe and remain their natural green color while many others trees lose their colored leaves for the winter cold.
