This reminds me of my book I am reading a quote from it.
I'm reading The Hopi Survival Kit by Thomas E. Mails. It is about prophesies made in AD 1100.
He writes The (deceptor) ever so slyly twists the truth just enough to keep the poorly informed from discovering what he is doing until they have followed him too far and bcome lost.
It will be interesting how readers react to your poem. It needs to be said. I am voting for this one.

Your "deceptor," in my opinion, is much cleverer than Trump, who does not even attempt to be sly, he just out right lies. Thanks for your read and comments.

It doesn't seem to matter how many times good people repeat that Trump is a damaging president, there will still be those you ignore his repeated abuses of ethics, honesty, and good governance.
I totally agree with your point of view... you have listed the reasons why he does not deserve a 2nd term. I don't live in US but I sure hope the American people will not repeat the same mistake.
