Yes, estory your are so right. On a very clear night you have the whole ancient mythology playing out their spiel. I loved your poem and how you imagined this whole drama. I liked it. A joy to read. Ulla:)))

Thanks for the excellent review and your continued support of my poetry. I always found the constellations inspiring, and the ancient Greek myths a window into the soul of humanity. Mysteries of the soul in there. It was a fun poem to write. estory

You did a great job including so many of the constellations in your poem. I enjoyed reading it and the descriptions of each. They are magical and create great imagery in one's mind. Your lines flow well and the story is interesting. I knew all of the names of the constellations you mentioned.

Thanks for sharing.
Respectfully, Jan

There is somethings that always draws us in, the signs that are in the heavens seek to hold men captive, because God has declared that that the signs of His return will come in that fashion. A beautifully written poem, articulate and expressive, I'm not sure it will come via beings who are more human than humans, well done my friend, blessings, Roy

Thanks so much for the excellent review and your interesting comments about the poem. This isn't really a religious poem, I hadn't thought of it as that. It is more just a journey of the imagination induced by the stories suggested by the myths of the constellations. estory

I can never separate God from anything, they are intrinsically woven together, David couldn?t either. Bless you. Religion is merely an adherence to something, we are all religious whatever god we serve. Man made religions have gods more Human than themselves, separation is merely pride. Bless you.

What an immense pleasure it is to see the starlit skies at night and to reminisce about all the tales remembered from the folk(star)lore we were once told.

A great review of the tales of the sky, you have given in your poem.

Enjoyed.

Thanks for the excellent review and for your support of this stargazer poem. I have always found the constellations to be quite inspirational. The myths behind them speak so loudly of the hopes, dreams and fears of the human spirit. estory

Your tendency to star gaze has helped create this magnificent poem. You fill us full of the mythology, while not talking over our heads. Your author's notes explain well why you wrote this piece, and I believe you are successful at placing us where we can forget about our troubles for a bit and instead enjoy the celestial concert of wonder. I, for one, needed this escape into another world created so long ago. It still persists if we want it to, and your talent blazes new trails for us to find our commonality rather than what divides us. Thank you for this treat.
Take care,
Jesse

You've certainly managed to include a good few of the constellations! One gains a sense from your poem of the value the ancients placed on the stars and the stories they wove around them. Stargazing is much better for the soul than TV! Having been an RAF navigator for a good many years and a lover of classical literature, I appreciated your various references.

Yes I think you are right, stargazing is better for the soul than TV. I like to just sit out here at night and watch Saggitarius and Cygnus and Lyra and Pegasus take flight over my head. Very inspirational, actually. estory

Nothing is permanent or fixed; change is inevitable; we may see Saggitarius or Olympos; but all for the time being; as we forget; well said, well done; thanks for sharing this. ALCREATOR

It is really like listening to the stories of Sheherazade during the 1001 nights. Your poem took me to the great tales of the Greek mythology, about their gods and half-gods. And I am sure now, that many of their sagas originated by gazing in the night-blue sky, seeing the constellations. Like you did, and brought it all back to life.

Thanks for all your continued support of my poetry, and I am glad you enjoyed these tales of Sheherazade that can take you away to far away places and times. I always thought looking at the constellations was like looking at hieroglyphics. estory
