Well, what one or in this case two will do for their pets. Your picture is perfect, Mystery Writer. The story told within the rules of the contest is poignant in that the marriage is in ruin but still held together because of the cats.

Dang, I hope that this is not true but I do know it could be. There are many people who stay together to avoid custody whether it is their children or their pets. Fun write for the 50 word prompt.
