Lisa May, your use of vocabulary is excellent and, as always, you astound with your astute alliterative assertions. This is a wonderful use of the prompt, and I wish you luck in the contest.

I like the way you used alitteration in this piece. It gives a look to the life of a poet and how we see the world and how we use our words.
Good luck in the contest.

I immediately love this because of your luscious alliteration. I hope the reader enjoys this as much as I did. I love reading it aloud. I had to reread it for joy. And I just realized it is an acrostic. I have to give this A+.

Hello my friend
Interesting poem about an oasis and writing metaphor. You followed the rules of the contest well. It's a fine entry for the Find a creative definition for poet writing prompt contest. Good luck in the contest.

A creative definition for a poem, Oasis of the Heart, framed as an acrostic poem,POET, and further confined to line by line alliteration, give s truly creative example of the form.

I just love everything about this total presentation- the form of the poem, the ideas expressed, the alliteration, the accompanying art work. The echo line is my favorite. Good luck with this beautiful poem.

Hi Lisa
This is a nice acrostic entry for the creative definition of a poet. It should do well in the contest.
I like "a poem pictures a possibility" because a poet's words paint a picture. You could say a poet is a painter. But he/she uses words instead of paint.
I like the repetition of "echo... echo... echo"
I'm not sure about "tears" though. I'd prefer "Trail of tricks, to touch, tantalize, and transform; tender or tart"
I wish you good luck in the contest!
Hugs,
Kimbob

I usually don't care for acrostic poetry but this one really grabbed me, and I love the alliteration. I also found the art moving and apt. my favorite: oasis of the open heart
