'And as I sit and dwell in thought
Of how in school this art was taught'
These two lines really resonated with me .
I don't remember EVER having to write a poem of any sort in junior high or in high school. I elementary school, it was read-read-read. I only wrote book reports and research assignments. I think I missed out on life!
(As a middle school teacher, my classes had the chance to try writing poetry every week.)

This is an excellent entry for the Writing Poetry Contest. It flows perfectly and is without errors. Since it is a more advance form of poetry, I would award six stars if I had one left. This is a very well written poem.
