Thank you for this wonderful trip-your imagination is better than drugs, (that is meant in the best way), very well written as your words give meaning to imagination and your chosen artwork, best wishes for your contest****kahpot

Measured absurdity, immeasurable madness:) You've been in the mint juleps again:) This was great, if I didn't know you were Y.M. I'd think your name was Alice, having tea with the Mad Hatter. I liked every thing about this one from the art to the verse, Good luck. Steve

Madness all round, Steve - lol!! ;) :) Good morning, sir! :) My apologies for the delay - usually a lot more on top of things... Your review and those stars are such a wonderful way to begin my 'task of finding my tail to catch it round here' (wink, wink!) -- thanx for the smiles and for your support!! ;) Take care out there as summer closes and Fall rolls in this month! ;) Yvette

It is well written with good rhymes but for me it has no variety to the timing and rhyming. ( one two three four, and one two three four). It has a very set in stone rhyming pattern. I like more variety in my phrasing.

After seeing results of contest all I can say is huh.

Oh my! Lewis Carroll meets Dr. Seuss in the Yellow Submarine. A kid's poem for adults. Nature, color, food, music and dance... exaggerated and complete with cautionary advice. I bet your mind felt relaxed after you got all of this out.
You make for some stiff competition.
Dick

You have the most beautiful and interesting art choices. And your poem is fun. I love the optimistic tone in your poem and all of the ones I have read. In this one, I'm not sure about the "Parole" and "Jail time" which is too dark for me.

Well done as usual.

Wow! Thanks for the wild and imaginative ride, Yvette. I feel I've gone from fantasy to nature to painting and breakfast to flying on pontoon planes. Enjoyed all the sounds, the rhymes and the alliteration of the poem! Best wishes in the contest! I'd stay with "flat" because it doesn't smell as strong as the "semi-gloss."

I like your imagination let loose. I think the third stanza is my favorite about 'nana splits and dancing beneath the moon. A bit of fancy to lighten the spirit.

This is a good poem and you have met the rhyming criteria well. I think it is timely and will resonate with many folks as we deal with the current situations in life.

Can I take a field trip to your brain? Lol...this is probably the most therapeutic piece I've read! We need more "imagination goes wild" poetry. You write a nice variety of poetry. Sorry if your weekend was hectic. Hope tomorrow is better! A fresh new day!
Hugs!
Yina
