I believe you have met the requirements of this contest: Write a poem that has the following syllable count. First line has two syllables, second and third line have four syllables, the final line has 12 syllables.

I'm sorry that you feel overwhelmed with constant poetry about what's going on in the world these days. I guess some (and I include myself) of us are maybe kind of hung up on it. I enjoy writing about it. But, I do totally understand what you are saying. There are a few subjects that I cringe when I realize what it's about and sometimes I just pass it over without reading it. So, I'm sending you cyber pat on the back in hopes it makes you feel a little better to know that someone understands what you're feeling. Have a great day/night (whatever it is at your house now.)

I agree, Mystery Writer. Bet there will be a boatload of what your poem states has been enough in the contests without end. Good job on your syllable count. Your picture and well-chosen words pair perfectly. Where are the poems about babies, rainbows, kittens, etc. when we want them?
