Wow, there is no shortage of arrows in YOUR quiver -- this is exquisite! I'm not at all surprised that it won with language such as "...cedes his hold..." and "...dons her starry crown." Lovely personification!

A lovely 5-7-5 with personification of the sun and Earth wearing a "starry crown." The sun is given the personality of pride because of its influence on the sky during the day. Nicely done. Best wishes in the contest!
