Expectation, hope, want, need, you captured the meaning of the feeling well. You met the criteria and just knowing someone is there can be comforting. Like a wife hearing her husband snore.

I like this poem, and feel like it could have a dual meaning. It could refer to pillow talk between two lovers, or to a person still feeling the presence of their lost love one.

To not feel alone is something we often strive for as we fall into hopelessness in abandonment. Your words are hopeful and warm and nurturing here, love Dolly x

Congratulations on this beautiful piece. Thanks for the smile it gave me; what a lovely sentiment. Stay healthy and safe during this depressing pandemic! Good luck with the competition!

Hope dressed and addressed so nicely in this poem:"
Even in darkness
laughter is heard, touch is felt
and I know you're there..."Thank you for sharing and good luck with the contest.

Your writing is soft and tender speaking of love felt between two who are in love with no need to see. You writing goes well with the picture and lands softly.

Aw, this is a touching post in a 5-7-5 format. I just heard last week that someone from church who is about 8 years younger than I am is losing her eyesight. Her mother and family have been very devoted to her care. I hope she can still hear laughter, as her hearing is going, too. This is a great post.
