The world will be back to normal.2 total reviews

I do believe that the 'old normal' has been forever laid to rest and that what will emerge as 'normal' will not be what folks are expecting... especially in the larger population centers (or what used to be the larger pop centers.... sigh)... ;) Great use of your syllable count here to make the reader think... good luck at the polls! ;)

Comment from Marjon van Bruggen
I pray to God, each day. I pray that He will give me the strength to outlive this evil virus. I doubt that the world will be as before the Covid-19 pandemic, or again to normal, as you hope in your poem.
I am afraid we will be having to adjust to a new normality: wearing a protective mask in public will be necessary for a long time to come, a stricter sense of hygiene (washing hands frequently) and use of desinfectants will be normal. What is a devastating thought is that, as a result of this pandemic (first and second phase) we will have an explosion of poor and ruined people. They lost jobs en masse, can't find other jobs and many will end on the streets. Depression will be a new "normality".

Welcome. It is a poem to think a bit about. "Normal" will change.
