I confess that I do not fully understand the poem, but maybe that is not even necessary. It sounds very determined and strong, although an unequal battle. It reminded me of the boxing match of Mike Tyson and Mohammed Ali, and the terrible, violent things they said before the match, to build up a fighting spirit.
Probably I have it all wrong, excuse me for that.
