I was very comfortable with the message you have in your poem. I wish the flow was a little more even as it would make it easier to read and understand. The message was clear, but I had to reread it to put it together. We need more writing like yours these days. You have a gift for spiritual messages. I hope to run into more of your work.

So true, the words of your poem. One should believe or disbelieve the presence of the Lord by weighing it all out for themselves. The decision is not for others to make for you. It is your decision and your decision only. Good job!

I think we see God through the eyes of our souls.Sometimes we commit a sin and we think we are not worthy so we stay away from God, until one day we hear his call and we return back to him. Are we hypocritical?

We should make sure first of all that we are born-again as Jesus said we must be, in order to see and enter the Kingdom.

That happens by believing what Christ said about salvation: ?Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life." John 5:24

Even after we become true believers we may act hypocritically because of fear or lack of knowlege. My poem was really addressed to unbelievers who are supposedly so turned off by the failures of us who profess Christ, they can't possibly believe.
    God bless, Dennis

Dear Denzi, I am so glad you have posted here, other wise I would never had the opportunity to review any of your work.
I was also delighted to find a man with such a deep seated faith as you have demonstrated in this poem.
Your question to the unsure investigator was nicely phrased. and please keep writing.

You are right--never let others decide for you--esp in your beliefs of God/Jesus. Your poem reads well with good rhymes, good flow, and a great message. You make several valid points about what some believe and/or should believe or act upon.
Thanks for sharing.
Respectfully, Jan

"For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved." That is the true measure of a loving Father, the greatest of sacrifices to save His children.
There are so many things that Jesus said and true miracles that he performed, and yet we have the non-believers.
Your articulate thoughts do send a clear message.

This is an excellent faith based poem that reminds the reader not to listen to others. Study the Word and follow God, think for yourself. You have a smooth flow of rhyming words and the two line verses are perfect.

Hypocritical Influence

Hello, Deni,

A very religious poem about your beliefs. I don't like the fear based religion but we all have the right to chose what we believe.

Choose Jesus and all fear is gone. Another meaning of ?fear? in the Bible is respect.

Whatever happens keep the faith, control the earthly lusts and propensities, for God has given us a heart of flesh. It is easier to know what ones to have, our destination is Heaven, these countries our flesh inhabit will pass away. Beautifully written, blessings, Roy
