We think this a tribute to those who give their dedication to something. Then there is a cruel ironic twist. Wow how you led us. You certainly flushed our toilet. Very clever.

Hahahahahaha! This is an hysterically funny poem that ended with a big surprise. Surprises are fun. I find nothing in here I'd want to change. The meter and rhymes and every word is well chosen and excellent. I thought the title was misleading but that's okay. This is a delightful poem. I enjoyed it very much and it is a great response to the writing prompt. Good luck in the voting booth. MM

I really like this poem and I would give you six stars if I had it. That's a great example of a flash fiction poem. You sold it as a outpouring of emotion since your man is serving in the military. Then you ended it with the great surprise line. Bill
