This poem has the most delightful imagery and visuals. I feel like I've been there, at the places you described. A stunning artistic presentation and photo. This should make a great entry to this contest, and I wish you all the luck.
Here in the middle, green gets thick
And makes for quite the bumpy course-
Hold your hat tight and don't let go
'Cuz blue's like slipp'ry butter spread!
Lovely.

Wow, I think you have a winner here the rhythm is perfect, and the theme is so joyful. The last stanza ends this childhood fantasy: "
A pot of gold? What do you mean?
You think some thing like that exists?
We can ride rainbows all day long
But fantasies are just for kids!!" Thank you for sharing and good luck with the contest.

This poem is very cleverly done and really fun-children would certainly love it! I like that you had a verse for each color and then the surprise at the end about the pot of gold!
