I can relate. My Uncle Neil was a tunnel rat in Vietnam, and as a child I made cookies and cherry turnovers with my mother to sent to her brother in Vietnam.

could you clarify your four star rating please? Since you're new to the sight you might want to check out what the stars mean.

Your right I wasn't familiar with the rating stars. It should be Five Stars. How does one change it?

Hi Earl, I agree with you...the men and women...even the dogs that give their lives for us....should be honored everyday...they do something we don't want to do...they die for us...so we can live free...and anyone who feels they need to take a knee when our flag is flying for them...
the ones on their knees...need to be given free plane tickets out of this country...truly they could make better money somewhere else...

Some good ideas in here.
Line 5, "froze" should be "frozen." Yeah, the rhyme gets messed up, but a near-rhyme with "rows" is okay too IMO.
Line 6, "lay" should be "lie."
Line 11, maybe use "we" instead of "they."

Sorry not to have a seven for this. Much said in short wording. Yes, raised on an Army post during WW 2 my parents worked around the clock making ammo for those who were fighting to keep us free. I had two brothers, one fighting at Kasserine Pass, the other Solomon Islands.
Yep, they deserve more than this generation could ever give.

This is such a well written poem about our proctectors, the military men and women. Just think of all the military burial grounds like Arlington scattered all around the world.
I'm an old Vietnam vet from the mid sixties and spent two years in southeast Asia and was proud to serve. I'd do it aagain if I was able.

Such a pleasing rhyming scheme. May I suggest that you take out a word from the last line to agree with the poem's scan? I might not include 'full'. 'Last' tells us everything.
