Sandra,
Okay, I don't know what happened, but you have TWO Turtle posts up... did you realize that? One is offering money and the other is only offering two cents. This is weird. Just to make sure you know. Hugs-

Oh, Robyn, I am so embarrassed at all those errors. Everything went wrong when I copied over. I didn't notice that this would not go into the 'review' side and went 'public' instead. When I went to change it, I couldn't! Then I had to do it over again, and I went to pieces and just posted without checking! I doubt this makes sense either, but I'm so pleased you left this note and got you member dollars. I'm asking everyone who reviewed this wrong one to write anything on my (now edited copy, thank you soooo much for that) I think I'll have to go and lie down for the rest of the day!!

But not on the mega scale of this one!! If you have a minute would you mind looking at that last paragraph again, I've finished it properly now. The part about the gender of the hatchlings. I tell you, I will never forget the letter T! Lol. xx

I found this especially interesting because I've raised box turtles in the past. Still have a few. I have a pond turtle who is almost 100 years old. As a turtle grows up, you can tell sex by the bottom of the shell, or pastron. If it's slightly concave, it's a male.

My dear Yvonne, thank you so much for your lovely review. Now I have to ask you if you would take a look at the front page and click on this one again. This post went live before I'd finished editing and only had 2cents on. I really want you to have the full member dollars, you and the other five who reviewed it. Bless all your hearts! Just say anything, you don't have 'review' it, just put anything down. I'm so embarrassed. Please, please do this to make my heart stop racing. Big hugs, and I'm so sorry. :( xxx

That is so sweet, but it doesn't matter. I'm happy.

I would be so much happier if you would, it has played on my mind all day, Yvonne. You don't have to say much, I think Jan copied hers over. It's not fair that you read all that for 2 cents! It was so kind of you to have done so, but when I saw what had happened when I woke up this morning, I nearly died!
I meant to say, I've never seen the bottom of the shell. I've had tortoises, but never looked! lol. :)) Please go and get that 1.13 member dollars. And look at the last paragraph again, I had a few people ask me to explain more about how heat decided the sex of a turtle. I have added to it now. That'll be a good excuse to get you mds.:)) xxx

Okay, if you insist. 8-)

LOL! Yes, I do, and you did! Love you, my friend. xxx

Turtles, turtoises and terapins, other peculiar animals, Sandra. I liked these animals very much. Your description is, again, interesting, clear and very informative. One typo: the first time you write "temperature".

Who doesn't love a turtle? I had them as pets when I was a kid. It's so sad that the giant tortoises are extinct. What's the matter with humans? They should know better. Love the pictures.

This is a great addition to your abc book, Sandra. I enjoyed reading it. Your facts presented are amazing--so much I learned. I don't know why anyone would want to harm these 'guys.' I have seen videos of the babies crawling to the ocean after hatching--they are so cute. Your words flow smoothly, the facts are presented well, the pictures are informative, and your poem at the beginning was awesome. I have a little turtle that visits my front porch to eat dry cat food and swim in a plant saucer. I named him Tiny.
Thanks for sharing.
Respectfully, Jan

Thanks for sharing another very interesting chapter about turtles. I've often why there are turtles, tortoises, and terrapins, when they've always just looked like plain old turtles to me. Thanks for sharing their distinct differences.

Sandra, my dear, sweet lady, never worry about the little things. I read for enjoyment and the fellowship of those I feel some sort of connection. I have almost $10,000 fan dollars accumulated that I'll never use, so the member dollars mean nothing to me. Just your smiling face that I can always feel, even though I can't see it. :-)

Aww, thank you, Ric. I've been frantic all morning. I know I get one or two 'fluff' reviews, but with most of the readers they go out of their way to tell me what they liked, and point out my errors. I feel they deserve to be rewarded. $10,000 fan dollars??? My goodness! I'm sending you over a huge hug, my friend, for being so nice. :) xxx
