Beautiful artwork. This Renga collection has prompted a lot of responses. Interesting thought about the eagle dining on food we cannot see. Each creature has its own unique powers. "Wisdom's feast" is great, but you might find a better introduction to that line than "It is." Maybe a strong verb. judi

You're welcome. Happy writing. I haven't written anything for the book yet, but I've read several of the poems. It's making a very popular collection. judi

Hello, Roy,
Beautiful haiku to follow my couplet. You use good imagery. Dining on wisdom is a clever metaphor. Nice presentation too.
There's no connection between my couplet and your haiku. In renga, we follow the previous chapter...not all the chapters, just the one before. We don't repeat words. Please see. Example below.
================================
Chapter thirty eight by Gypsy Blue Rose
birds chirp at the old orchard
as sunrise marks a new day
================================
Chapter thirty nine by Royowen
Contemplations task
Dine on food we cannot see
It's wisdom's feast.
================================
Example:
northern cardinals
dine on food we cannot see
it's wisdom's feast
(The connection between my 7/7 couplet and your haiku is BIRDS but we can't repeated the same word (bird) so I use NORTHERN CARDINALS.
Thank you very much for adding a chapter to our renga book :)
Hugs,
Gypsy

-It's good to see your
addition to Gypsy's book.
-A good poem and topic
with effective imagery,
personification, and message.
-A very good opening line
that's followed with the theme
of dining and "wisdom's feast."

A very well-written 5-7-5 addition to the multi-author book to complete the Renga. Our souls need spiritual food on a daily basis and we can do that by contemplating God's words from the Bible.

This is stunning. The art and the meaningful words display a very thoughtful presentation. That is such an enjoyable pastime. Contemplating the past, the present or the future. All good.

Contemplating as a dinner feast, this is quite intriguing but I sense the melancholy as a tone of changes. Thank you for sharing and good luck with your writings.

I agree with you, Roy. Your 575 reads well with a strong message. All people need to read this, think about it, and adhere to your spiritual message for guidance. The image is a good pairing with your well-chosen words.
Thanks for sharing.
Respectfully, Jan

You have made excellent use of metaphors to convey a powerful message about the importance of seeking wisdom, because
Matthew 4:4 Jesus answered, "It is written: 'Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.'"
