Dick,
What a precious story! I had a hard time deciding if it was real or fiction. It read like real life. Nice job!
If the intro was an explanation of the origination of the story ...? I would suggest putting it in Author Notes at the bottom - so people can get straight to the story. The story is the important part - the intro is backstory.
Also, one more note:
--> For those (who) loved her; this was a great feeling
--> use 'who' for humans
Congrats on being nominated for Story of the Month!

Thank you Liz for reading another chapter and for the very nice review. We also anticipate she's doing her happy dance in heaven, now that we are married. She told her mother that if she ever married anyone from our high school class she hoped it was me. She brought us together and I wish she could see how happy we both are now.
Thanks again,
Dick
(p.s. her daughter's name is Katie)

This is a story that is played back all too often in our lives. Not exactly Caroline and Tony's tragic loss, but the dreaded cancer under remission, to come back with a vengeance. Thanks for sharing. I wish I had a six.

Thank you Ric for reading my story and for the very nice review. I wish you had a six too. Unfortunately, this is fiction based on a real story. It was my wife's daughter Katie, who died at 42. She set the stage for my wife and I to be married. Her husband Dean, does go to FL each year on their former anniversary to have the piano player play Sweet Caroline.
I thank you for your review...enjoy every day.

None of us know when our time on this earth will end and all of us should appreciate every day of life we have. At least, even if we've been diagnosed with something that could take our life, no one has an expiration date stamped on them and miracles still happy. Life is good and we should hold on as long as we con.

Thanks Beth for checking out this test and for the very nice review.
YOU have certainly got the right message - I went for my annual physical today and the doctor said he lost 4 patients last week.
Be safe and thanks again.

This is outstanding in all ways and requires six stars. A beautiful but sad story. I am sure Neil Diamond, one of my favorite performers, would be proud of the joy Caroline found in his song.

Thank you Judy for reading one of my posts and for the exceptional review. Although this is a fiction, the real story is about Terri's (my wife's daughter) Katie. She did pass and her husband (Dean) did indeed return to that place to have them play Sweet Caroline and he did buy a round of drinks.
She was a special person, and said the right words to her Mom, which is one of the reasons we are married today. We went to the Jr. Prom together and never dated after that. Sixty-three years later we are happily married. I hope she is doing her happy dance in heaven.

I hope so, too.

This is an excellent flash fiction story with meaning and I think many can relate to it. You have a smooth flow of story and the reader feels for Caroline and her husband, Best wishes for the contest.

What a sweet and poignant story. I and a friend went to a Neil Diamond concert and were surprised to see my brother and his wife there. Will never forget "Sweet Caroline." Blessings to you.

Thank you for reading one of my posts and for the very nice review. He puts on a great show. We saw him the last time in Phoenix, and I think he is ill, and that might be his last performance for some time.
Thanks again, and blessings to you as well...enjoy the day!
