Had several cats pass and one dog. All of them hid and died alone. So sad and hard. I still have one cat that is only 12, (had one that lived to 18 one to 19) when cece goes no more. If cece lives to 18, I'll be 86. But you remember them for a long time. They have personalities just like humans.

Yes, many tend to hide when they feel their time is up..
Luckily, I was always there to say goodbye ..
I cut off some fur to keep and place a big lock of my hair between their paws.
My Paco was a leader , Pete was boisterous and a chatterbox , his sister Sophie gentle hearted and Minue very meek.
If you don?t have anyone that you know will take care of you beloved pet best not to get another after CeCe.
I wish you both still many happy years together!

Thank you for the kind review .. I woke up thinking of my last pet that passed away in October 2017 ... it upset me so I wrote a poem..

Car???? I imagine it s a typo and you meant dog.. ( smile)
I m sorry for your loss. ( sigh)
Dogs live so short ..it?s a shame
....as hard as it is I ?m always there to the end too.
I like to keep a lock of fur.
This morning I woke up thinking of my last pet that died on 25th oct three years.. a month after my father passed away .. it was a sad period.
