Memories, so brightly colored, childhood
is an artists dream come true.
This lovely rondel just swirls and swoops, like
the bygone innocence of the butterflies
and lightning bugs of summers.
Rainbows reflected in bubbles blown,
and in our hearts, as we remember.
How beautiful!
Blessings...

Hello Mystery Writer.
The picture and background you use are striking. It is bright and cheerful. The remembrances of childhood are often related to vivid colors which make experiences memorable for a lifetime.

This is a fine example of a rondel Ppoem, and it is indeed very similar to the rondeau. Beautifully written, you've chosen an interesting syllable count gobing the "feel"of a ballad form, which gives it an even feel to the poem. Well done, a most enjoyable Read, blessings Roy

..."they are what moves the poet's pen...I love rainbows. " For sure I like the introduction to your poem, mystery writer. A Rondel is difficult to write but you envisioned, and wrote a very good one.

Your poem is skillfully and creatively composed and vividly descriptive.
I like your presentation of childhood memory as that which can be captured and preserved by the pen.

Congrtultions on a job well done here, author. I can tell you willdefinitely be in the winner's circle with writing like this:
"Dreams of today will find breath tomorrow
While drowning in sweet mem'ries' hue,
Bright recollections of childhood's rainbow
Find safe refuge in my pen's purview..."
I like this and wish you good luck with it. : ) Bob

We all need a childhood rainbow in our lives to find the inner child waiting to escape. What a wonderfully written poem.
