All I can say is AMEN. If the people that lead and make decisions for us would get themselves together and work for the better of the people instead of on their own agendas we would be much better off. Best of luck in the contest.

You are right about that. I think somewhere in the past congress might have worked as a team but it must have been the very distant pass. Without the ability to compromise nothing can be accomplished.

Teamwork is a wonderful advantage when it is utilized correctly. I've lived in a few countries and they all have some sort of issue that either gets overlooked or plain ignored. I like this. It is completely understandable and sincere. Well done.

Thank you Kiwigirl for reading my poem and for the very nice review. It is a shame that we fail to realize what is best for the country. That is what is supposed to happen, but partisanship takes over. Successful companies and professional teams aren't run like our government. Regardless, we were asked for a political poem, so I did my best to get my frustration out.

So true... Very upsetting for the world over. Power in mans' hands is futile. Nobody cares for the benefit of others, just their own gain. It's useless to even bother hoping anymore.

Love the truth of your poem. By its nature political parties are divisive and not prone to work in unity as a team. The will of the few with money is usually what gets done and not the will of the people.
