I enjoyed your contest entry, Mystery Writer. I like everything about it. The words flow well, the rhymes are good, and the imagery is great. I could see this as I read. i like the idea of writing your poems from what life has taught.

You have nicely captured how you let your soul/heart decide what it wants to say rather than your mind deciding that. That's how writing is supposed to bring relief. Fine use of consistent meter. Excellent use of rhyming as well. Most of the readers will be able to relate with this. Good luck!

yes it's difficult to pinpoint exactly from whence inspiration may spring but these stanzas give a good sense of it 'write of lessons life has taught ' nice pic

Your ultra-concise poem about what moves you to write is interesting and

You have a smooth flow of rhyming ones that adds to the strength of your theme. "Thoughts spring from deep within my soul" is a lovely line I can relate to, I think that is where most poetry comes from.

Structure works. One can feel the process of creating. Nice flow throughout the work, except for last line where you use a near-rhyme with roam and poem. May be tome would be a better choice and provide and exact rhyme. You are the author only my opinion.

I worked on that rhyme and could not come up with anything that kept up with the meter and rhymed well too. Thanks for your kind review. My OCD keeps me working on it though.
