A promise keep, but why does she feel the need to keep it to herself. Maybe she will try to find him and without Jim knowing. There are so many questions that you have left me with.

This message in a bottle story, Pandora's Box, is a cool example of such a find which poses a question to a old heart to find something still good.

Liked how in this brief story show us the different views of love. That Jim and his shares belong "in a different universe" and the narrator's heart is yearning for a romantic love and that "pandora's box" Excellent!

Neat story. What are the odds? Why is it that the grass is greener in another pasture? Yes. That would be a pandora's box. To open, or not to open. Hmmm. Good job. Good luck with the contest.

Wise woman, but the romantic in me wanted to see and kiss Jake one last time or something. Oh, the difficulty of 200 words! Good luck with the contest.

That picture and your words go together well! I enjoyed this writing from beginning to end. This story should do well in the Message in a bottle contest.

A very well-written short flash fiction about the message in a botte. In this scenario it seems like an old dream is coming true, but life changes and people too, is it wise to go back to a former lover who may not be the man you remembered.

I think he left it a bit too late. But at least she knows how he feels. Best thing was to hide it away. Jim has been steady and responsible, and doesn't deserve to be betrayed. Very good story.

I can imagine the feelings running in the heart of Jane, to hear from a love that once was and maybe still has a place, but it is best to keep it locked up. Jake a wanderer, with a lust to see the world, Jim, the now, steady,self-made, maybe a little dull, but there for you. Good decision. This is a good entry for the Message in a bottle contest.

Comment from Pam (respa)
-A good image and story.
-It flows well with good
detail and dialogue.
-I like the opening discussion
and the different attitudes
toward the note in the bottle.
-Then they are in their own worlds,
as you indicate in the story.
-It seems she still has feelings
for Jake, but she pushes them aside.
-A good ending with the reference
back to the title.
-Good luck in the contest.
