This is just enchanting, Yvonne. So magical to have the place where this world meets with another world in a magic seam. Having it associated with the playing of a piper.
Written in your signature pristine metre and rhyme this lyrical poem is a pleasure to read and review.

This certainly has a mystical atmosphere, and the presentation is lovely. The artwork adds to the ethereal feeling. Like every young woman, the narrator is waiting to hear the pipes and see the man she has dreamed of. She knows he's going to come, so she's ready to wait. This is a lovely fairy tale, and I hope the man of her dreams will come. Excellent rhyme and beautifully worded. judi

A very well-written fantasy poem about the wait in the forest for the fairies to come out and play. Wait also for the man who plays the pipes that join his world with yours by a magical seam.

Hello Yvonne.
This is well written with excellent rhyme and meter. The descriptions in your narrative are very well constructed as the lady repeats her refrain of wistfulness.
The poem reads very smoothly. There is no strain in making the meter work.

This is absolutely beautiful. The iambic pentameters are perfect. It reminds me of Milton's Lycidas. The language is magnificent I love it. The Green Man is out there somewhere and is about to appear.

Oh, thank you, thank you, Jim! I'm thrilled you like it. What a compliment.

Is this why you asked about the meter beaters?
-
No, not at all. I like the clubs because they keep me challenged. Your was especially good because of your knowledge of poetry and how it should be written. There are many of us on here that need that guidance.

Your reply honours me. Thank you.

Very beautiful rhyming poem. The enchanted forest is clearly to be seen in the picture, which suits the poem well. I love the romantic, longing tone in this poem. "and while the leaves blow gently in the breeze, I wait to hear the pipes and see the man". Lovely!

A very poignant piece that refers to someone in the past who appeared and disappeared. Obviously he made a huge impression on this soul who will wait forever, it seems. I shall read the previous chapters soon to get the full picture. A lovely poem, well written.

Oh, thank you. I'm so glad you like it and want to read the others. I'm going to have to change the font to make it consistent Evil Eddie the Editor wouldn't let me bring my favorite font over to FS.
