This is a good cautionary tale. I am grateful I am a bit like a puddle. I sit outside in my chair reading and pausing to watch the butterflies, birds, and bees. I am so lucky. I have a friend who has ADDHD. She is always moving doing something. If she's tired and needs a day to rest, she can't do it. But somehow she does notice her hummingbirds. In spite of her frenetic behavior, she does find a moment to appreciate her surroundings.

Hello, anonymous,

A fine entry for the
Senryu writing prompt contest. Good syllable count and connection between lines. You followed the rules of the contest well.

Stop to smell the roses.

I enjoy the sentiment in these words, we must stop and witness nature and everything that is around us, when we dash about we miss the best things in life, much enjoyed, love Dolly x

This is a good entry for the Senryu writing prompt. That is exactly how life is if we rush through without noticing details. I hope this poem does well in the contest. Best of luck to you.

The senryu may deal with human nature. Your well-written piece certainly does this. We miss so much hurrying through life--then regret that later when we can't fix it.

I think this is a good entry for the Senryu writing prompt.
This short verse is well done and the artwork amazing. I think I might reverse the order of the here and there, but otherwise, well done and I wish you good luck with the contest.

Hi there
clever use of colored GIF in a basically blurry black and white world. Hard to tell if she running or dancing - regardless, it works.

Not usually a fan of senryu poetry, but I liked yours. It made sense and gave off the same message as Stop and Smell the Roses. Good luck in the contest.

What an amazing animated image--love it. You are right about not seeing the beauty of life because we rush around and miss the tiniest beautiful 'thing.' I enjoyed your contest entry, Mystery Author. Good on the style of the senyru.
Thanks for sharing and best wishes.
