This was a very relatable and well written poem. Sometimes a great idea comes into your mind when you're just drifting off and you have to make a difficult choice to sleep or write!

Your excellent poem, through vivid imagery, describes the plight of one who, for the moment, values getting an idea down on paper above needed rest. Been there, done that!

Thank you, dear Janice. I had a little trouble with the meter, but now I think I'm getting the hang of it. I'm so pleased you enjoyed it. ;)

This work has reached the exceptional level

I am unfamiliar with this form, however, it tends to lend itself well with what you have to say. Your words flow well in it,and I like what you have to say with it.

I was too since it was a newly created form by Dolly's Poems here on FanStory. She's been encouraging me to try it. I've had it in edit for awhile so I decided to let it loose. Thanks so much for the wonderful response and review. The six stars is super encouraging and blessed me so much. Sending you my best today as always,

I haven't tried it yet, I'm just finishing up on a horror story for upcoming contest. Also, hope to work out a dialogue only short story.

"Sleep", is an extremely well-written and delightfully descriptive piece. With well chosen words, this talented poet has told it as it is. I look forward to reading your next post.

I get it Sally, many a night I had to sweep my muse out on the sill as well, but still I could not sleep until she got her poem. This is a wonderful form of poetry however, I may try my hand at it soon. God bless you, well done.

Some of the best writings can come into the subconscious while asleep. We all need a time to rest so our awake time is rested and ready to do some serious writing.

Whimsical take on insomnia--elegantly structured in this unusual form--doesn't sound forced into conformity. A most a-musing perspective on sleeplessness. Cheers. LIZ
