I think when Christ made His loving pilgrimage to complete what was on His Father's mind, He was the message, the revelation of the Father in the veil of flesh, and the fulfilment of the rescue plan of God, to rescue Adam a Eve, manifest in us, and Christ divested Himself and gave what He had to us, beautifully on the "giving" tree, beautifully written Darren, well done, blessings Roy

This is beautiful. You did a great job writing it. I, until May 28 was a first grade teacher, I retired. But I read "The Giving Tree", to my first graders every year. After numerous reads it still brings tears to my eyes. Thank you for sharing.

This poem is carefully constructed and flows very nicely. The subject matter was a little hard for me to follow, but I take it to mean that we are end up at the same place, no matter our toiling. Thanks for sharing. :)

Hi Brother Badger,
This is a marvelous poem with the wisdoms of Life with a capital "L". I love the sentiment conveyed to ...
"Of My profound interest
in seeing you succeed
Go now and do your very best
as you tend to your weeds"
Perfect! You have peened a lovely verse lending some time honored lessons to help us on our way to do our best, prune some here, cultivate some thoughts there and tend to our own "garden" pulling our own weeds, not our neighbor's.
Have a great Sunday,
Senyai

Garden is a metaphor for life. It teaches us patience, watchfulness and gives us great joy when it comes up gloriously thanks to His blessings. It is soul-fulfilling. Thanks for sharing your beautifully penned poem.

A epic poignant write and we are often testes by the inconveniences of life and how we react often gives away our state of mind. Coping with minor irritations helps us deal with the big ones if we have a good attitude to life, much enjoyed, love Dolly x

I like the image you chose for your poem; it reminds me of my hometown during autumn. The poem was great with life-long lessons along the path. Great job! Below are my favorite stanzas.
He left behind a calling card
into a lady's slipper, it was placed
as I read, I found it hard
as the words seemed to erase
Of My profound interest
in seeing you succeed
Go now and do your very best
as you tend to your weeds
Then you can finish reading
all that I have penned
Where is all this leading?
To the beginning of the end

This is a complex poem filled with many concepts about life. I enjoyed reading it. there's good flow, good rhymes, and many hidden ideas that tell about life, how to enjoy it, what to do to make it better etc. Life is a 'garden; as you alludet oo. there are many vairieties of plants (people) and some are invasive while others are productive. One has to pick and choose what to keep and what to discard. In the end, one needs to know themselves.
Thanks for sharing.
Respectfully, Jan

If I didn't know better, I would think my garden was hacked. Earlier this evening I shared I am planting so many seed maybe I should change my name to Jeanie Appleseed. At age 81 as I plant fruit seed -- peaches, pears and plums -- I know I will never eat the fruit. May I drape your word garden with a garland of stars?

Nice philosophical poem about a wide variety of existential issues, like loving and being loved, and looking without eyes and listening without ears, which is a nice way of putting intuitive knowledge and understanding. Well done. Congrats on your book.
