Your phrase "the ignorance of whitewashed racism" is very powerful. Bigotry is entrenched in society to such a damaging degree; we must guard against it and call it out whenever we see it, because the only healthy society is one where ALL people matter and can feel equally respected, with the same opportunities. We must all dare to say - as your poem does.

This cinquain, I Dare Say, has the proper formatting and takes a positive stand on the issue of fully overhauling the cultural bias that excludes the heritage, contributions, and struggles of the African- American community, and promotes our future as a nation moving forward.

It's really too bad that Black Lives Matter has been twisted around to have another word in front of it, ONLY, which of course it does not, but that is always the way with free speech.
