Very nice, a bit of national pride is always nice to read. A very well craft ode and it good for people from other lands to get a taste of how other people view their countries with pride.
Nicely done.

A fine entry for the Ode Poem writing prompt contest. Idea are fun, I like yours about Australia. You followed the rules of the contest well. I knew about some of the references because I have an Australian friend. Also the fact that originally was a convict settlement.

All we hear these days on TV are people yelling obscenities, who don't know our history, who have no respect for it or for much of anything. sad and disgusting - so your poem is welcome indeed. Patriotism! Bravo!

This is a great write in praise of the Aussie culture which of course originated from the English culture and grew within the Australian humour here, a well rhymed and metered write and you won my vote here, much enjoyed, love Dolly x

Loved your proudly Aussie poem - it made me feel patriotic. I still have my Aussie passport even though i've lived "next door" for nearly 40 years. Your introduction of many Aussie aspects will give others a real taste of Australia (although they might not think vegemite is a delicacy).
Your 'dias' is more accurately spelled 'dais', and I am wondering why you didn't put in the flag in its entirety? People might think that is what the flag actually looks like (it gives too much dominance to the union jack looking like that.)
