Pound that drum, hoping you clear out all that from yourself, finding the arrows shot direct on target, gushing strikes illustrating the raw facts of reality. The ideal separating the good, the bad and ugly that's life: a super shout. All stated in my given opinion.

True, Man is, and always has been, a sinner throughout his evolution. however, I don't share your belief in the inevitability of your predictions.

Hi there, yes, we are indeed living through a very troubled stage of the history of humanity. We are either bombed out of our beds or we are beaten by an invisible enemy, which struck us when we least expected it.. I loved your poem and good luck. Ulla:))

Author, this is a superb free-verse illustrating much of the cause of human suffering, and that is brought on by other people forcing their will upon others. And in those instances it is about power and control the twisted desire to be a leader, when one is not.

Underlying much of it is a toxic love of money that has no wish for peace and goodwill for mankind.

I love your conclusion that hope is the pearl created from pain and irritation within the oyster, and such is hope.

Wishing you much luck in the booth with this gem. :)

Beautifully said! I appreciate how you show us that all these calamities and leaders who care only for their own gain existed since the Fall. Yet those with a "prayer life" have Hope. Best wishes in the contest!

Well done entry for this contest and I wish you well in the competition. You have done a fine job of describing the pain that we inflict upon each other and brought the words around nicely to an ending that offers hope.
Thank you for sharing this well-written poem.

Many of us are living within the containment of our own actions now. May it is the result of not living within the containment God prescribed. I am still looking for the light at the end of the tunnel

Hello Friend,
Nice piece of Spiritual Poetry having impressive phraseology, smooth flow throughout from the beginning to the end with lively imagery, and beautifully depicting its theme.
12th stanza and the last one are particularly noteworthy.
Good Luck in the contest.

This was very strong. One can sense the humanity within the author. Not many poetic devices, but this was not about that, more about the power and message within the delivery...and I agree with what much of the author has said here.
Bravo...good luck.
Best wishes.

Hope! Thus, that pearl which often stays
hidden in the soft belly of a oyster being
molded into a precious gleaming gem
enabling them to survive can rebound
the hearts of man.' This poem is EXCEPTIONAL! It has a great chance in the competition being that it encompassed all the feelings and emotions so many of us go through in these difficult times and yet it will stand the test of time. Brilliant. Kindest regards and good luck Meia xx
