A very interesting and nicely done story. A part of history I didn't know. This would make a good movie if it hadn't already. I wish you the best in the contest.

hi there,
thank you for your visit, read and 6-pack.The original draft is/was 4X longer with more details. However, to enter it in the contest, the entry could not exceed 500 words. Perhaps, some day, I will post the original. The layout and use of art within the FS text box created a major challenge for me. Stay safe.

This is eerie. Were you the only person and the room and were you actually relaxed. You sort of left us hanging after you entered the room. Was this all set up for your benefit and was there no other people there. You were there before the press release came out and these items were there when you entered but they were found by the staff later. I'm probably missing something unless your intention is to confuse the reader.

This is a very interesting story with an excellent lay-out that really adds to the creepiness of the piece. This is also a very inventive approach to the contest. When I think of historical events, I tend to think big picture, like Hiroshima, or Bunker Hill, but this works just as well, and it really sparks your interest. A great entry for the contest, and good luck.

Wow! It's a thriller! I liked the format, and the slides and all the creepy you've built into the story. I'd heard about this Tavern and the spooky underground stuff from a TV reality story a while back. To include the newspaper end of the story was a creative way to get important info across. Good Job. Good luck with the contest.

This is an interesting mix of fiction and historical facts. I wasn't aware that we publicly hanged people, outside of the deep South at KKK rallies, as late as the thirties. Fun piece here.

Eeeeey! Creepy stuff here. For the big historical event contest a fantastic entry! I liked the presentation with the slides-images in between. The thoughts, the voices, the text...all has its logical place.
A good piece of work!

Wow, one forgets when the last executions happened, they were abolished many years ago here. In 1967 to be precise, but they are still doing it in America somewhere, beautifully written my friend, although a little grim. Great photos, well done, blessings, Roy
