Oh my goodness! It's good you got the repair guys to come out to you. In the process, it seems you had learned lots about engines!
So glad you got to visit in Colorado but I think I'd be scared with driving those steep roads with a big rig!

Thank you so much for reading, reviewing and your kind comments, Helen. I usually try to learn something each day but that day was a day from heck. Colorado was nice even with the roads. Hugs.

Well Alie you really travel. :) I glad to read your adventures especially when you describe the scenery. I've never been to Arizona, Utah Or Colorado. I've been to Montana, a small town close to Billings. Been to Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, I was 11 years old when my parents took us working the fields. Did it for 4 years. I loved the clean air and all the country. I when to Minnesota in 89 to work, but it was mostly people and they weren't happy. Give your description in every road trip, let us see the Country. Thank you. :)

Hi, allie. Whew! my dear friend, Iam worn ot both physically and mentally after living through this read. LOL Poor Jim. I'll bet he was fit to be tie dwhen he blew that turbo. They are not cheap. That much I remember from my days in the trucking biz, back in the eighties.
And poor you. How in the world did you occupy yourself for all that down time?
I am looking forward to your next adventure, dear friend so you can fill me in. : ) Bob

Thank you so much Bob for reading, reviewing and your kind comments. We were off the road from late Sunday (about 4pm) to Tuesday noon, so it wasn't too bad. When we got the semi in Nov. 2014, the agreement was that even though it was a 10 speed manual, I would drive 1/3 of the time/distance. Then Jim nattered about my driving so I parked it, got into the passenger seat and swore never to drive it again. I always keep a good book handy lol.

LOL Can I interest you in a personally inscribed copy of one of mine (wink) Bob

Ahaaaa I have one lol.

I had to try, my friend. : ) Bob
-
LOL, it was a good try.

I am traveling vicariously with you, although our caravaning days are now behind us, we traversed this country of ours a few times, we're about the size as you US so it took some doing. Breakdowns on the road are a hitch, blessings Roy

Always a new adventure with you, my lady!! ;) Bad luck catches up to us all once in a while, but it sounds like y'all fared well this time! ;) Oh, but you had me laughing with "gave Jim something to do"...So important for the husband to have something to do if yours is anything like mine! And that steep, crazy drive? Been on some of those and I'm pretty sure my husband COULD NOT take it! ;) :) I always wanted to travel, but I might have to live vicariously through you... we'll see! ;) :) Thanx for sharing, Alie! ;) Yvette
Be sure to pop back in there and edit your 'background' notes as they are cut off in the character limit... :) :)

You are such adventurers to be travelling about like this and I admire you for that. I could never do it, I like my home comforts far too much. But you are seeing different places and enjoying yourselves. Glad you got the truck fixed okay so that you can continue your journey, much enjoyed, love Dolly x

A better title for your book will be Life on wheelsð???anyway this is an interesting story with lots of geographical landmarks for people who don't know the United States. Thank you for sharing and good luck with the contest.
