This is a well written poem of a big disaster. It is very sad as your words of a resort becoming no more than a newspaper issue say. Your illustration, while of the sea, is almost too pretty for the story.

When I first learned about that northeaster I was a child 7 or 8 years old.
We would vacation for a couple days, at first, at my Uncle Craig's housein Shipbottom.
And, I thought it was normal the beginning of the season?
To bail out the house!
Thanks,

We have the same things in tornadoes in the south. Big ones that wipe out everything. What a wonderfully written poem. I wish I had a six. Best of luck with your writing!
Have a great day and God bless.

Well I got a taste of it at 8 years old by having a bailout Uncle Craig's house the beginning of the season.
I thought that was normal. I found out about that storm.
We had another one in the year 2000 but it happened in the winter it's flooded out the business I worked at.
