Hello Mary
You write very well. This is another example of you taking the time to invest you words with great meaning, inviting the reader one way and bringing them back by another way entirely. Clever, deft and always gentle. I enjoy your poetry but I believe that you are capable of even finer works, in your own time.
I wish you well
cheers

Thank you, Phil. I do appreciate your thoughts. I know what you?re saying. But I love this silly stuff. I love the challenge of it. It?s just plain fun. I have written all kinds of things in all kinds of formats, and I enjoy it all. To reassure you that I can be serious, I will post one of my sonnets.
Best wishes,
Mary

Hello Mary
It is good to hear from you. I do not wish to stop your fun, I would not think to do that and the site is 'about' fun and enjoyment. Rather, I just wanted to stress that I feel you do have a talent and it'd be a pity for you not to use it on something more substantial. It is often the case that we do not see what is before us.
Enjoy what you do Mary - you do it well, even when it is a slighter challenge.
Cheers

Looks like you nailed this one. You followed the rules and said a lot in a difficult format. Your illustration made me think of temple bells so it paired nicely.

I enjoyed your poem, Mary. I like the way you formatted the lines and the image. Your words make a great statement, too. You are right about poetry. There are so many different styles, and its great to venture out of the tried and true. Thanks for sharing.
Respectfully, Jan

Very clever, it's telling a story. As a prolific limerick writer, I'm thinking about syllables all the time. Would like to have a go at shadow poetry. Great picture, didn't notice the faces at first.. Well Done

I love the wording you used to describe the freedom of writing and unless I counted wrong or it is my pronouncing of the words but I got 51 syllables.

Beautiful imagery in these simple expressive lines. I loved it. What else can I say? The image of temple bells is still ringing in my mind.
I found no errors. No edits needed. A lovely piece.

Very well done. So many syllables that make so much sense. I love the flow of your thought down to the very last word. Looking forward to more of your thoughts. Have a wonderful day.
