This Diamante Poem sounds quite complex and so would take some thought to get all that into a short poem that is quite descriptive. From your painful, lonely days of yesteryear to the joyful days of the present, and much in between. Well done Liz,

very good, beautiful butterfly. It also seems that when you were younger you had talents - althletics and art - must have been evident then to give you some pleasure and sense of worth.
Whatever, happiness was something you acquired through your own accomplishments and disposition. good going and good poem.

Good job, Liz. I don't believe I ever read a Diamante poem before. Very unusual for me or anyone not familiar with them. Isn't it wonderful how we all evolve as we get older?

Thank you for your supportive and involved review. I'm glad you enjoyed. I immediately fell inlove with this form when I happened upon it when I was teaching my 6th graders about styles of poetry. Several have mentioned they were unfamiliar with in it.
