Another fine poem, Rhonda--and time flies, huh? What's weird is your examples are identical to mine--only one thing hasn't changed, I STILL hate boys!

So funny, Mike. Sometimes I look at my husband and think that when we were little kids, he would probably be teasing me and I would be acting offended. And then I realize we do that now, haha.

    Thanks for reviewing, PAL,
    Rhonda

I'm pretty sure that little girl is still there, but just well hidden only to come out on special occasions. I'm pretty sure she will always believe her daddy is special. I always did, even after he passed a few years ago. Thank you for sharing.

Oh! The innocence of a child, so pure, so sweet with dreams, imagination and fantasies and such a simplistic life filled with trust and joy.

Yes, where did this little girl go to hide?
"Was it in some distant foreign land, or is she hidden deep inside?
I must find this little girl and on her tiny shoulders lean,
Together we will fight with grace to survive a world obscene."
We can't let allow this destruction of innocence. That being said, I do believe the little girl can come out of her shell and find the beauty in spite of the obscenities of the world. Thanks for sharing.

A very well-written poem about the little girl we once were seem to disappear from our sight as we age and we wonder where has she gone when we seem to be old and not much energy that 's left.

This is so very nice it brought tears to my eyes while I was reading it.
Keep trying to find the gentleness of a child in the turmoil of the world
It's there we only have to believe and how much better our lives will be
keeping her company when times get tough.
I liked the way you rhymed it and the expression you brought out, it
showed this lovely little girl is not far away from you
Thanks for sharing

This poem, Where Is the Little Girl?, is a serious look back to the innocent times when we were all hopes and dreams. I wish I didn't know now, what I didn't know then.

Hi Rhonda, this is a beautiful free verse poem bringing it home what a difficult and in many ways a terrible time we are all living through. Nothing is sacred anymore. You bring that truth through the little girl's loss of innocence. Beautifully written. All by sixes are gone, Ulla:)))
