Yvette,

My guess is that my own entry for this contest will not garner more votes than your penned one.

Lots of nice alliterations and colors you sprinkled about. 'Scabrous pains' is a terrific descriptor for your poem.

Mark

Yvette,
Life's journey takes a toll paid with heartache and
tears. Your words show that the pain is temporary and
will be forgotten when we enter heavens gates.
Your poem is beautifully written to promote hope and
faith in the rewards of eternity with the Father.
Blessings,
Richie

Oooo, I love the alliteration in this beautifully written four line poem. The waterfall enhances the idea of time and tears washing away the hurt while hunting its way to the sea, a final love.

A beautifully scribed and manicured four line poem, I love the way you play very well with the language Yvette, you've done a super job with this one, it's a first class job, well done, good luck, blessings, Roy

This is a beautiful short poem which well meets the contest requirements. The wording is well thought out and the image of the waterfall is fabulous. Thanks for sharing.

It's nice to think of time and tears as a balm for life's pains. Sometimes it just seems as though nothing can relieve all the pains. I cried all morning yesterday about some trivial thing. No one was around, and I just felt like crying. My psychiatrist daughter says it helps. Not for me though. I just wasted my morning. But I am rambling.
Today, I will try to keep my eye on Love's sustaining sea. To keep going on, you do have to believe it will all be worth it. Good descriptive line for this one.
I think your poem will do well in the contest. You use very expressive images, and judges should identify with your theme.

Yes, you HAVE to believe, but sometimes it's a helluvalot harder than others, isn't it? Tears help sometimes, but for me they are a hindrance to progress or even 'living' -- hate them and develop animus toward any cause of them: just who I am, I guess. Gotta say, though, I'd be happy to meet you halfway somewhere and we can 'cry in our coffee' together! ;) ;) Take care and thanx for the review, my BBF! ;) Yvette

-Gorgeous image and
nice presentation, Yvette.
-The syllable count is good,
along with the topic and effective
use of one continuous thought.
-I like the image of "time and teardrops."
-A positive message, too.
-Good luck in the contest,
and have a great day.

Streams
of time and teardrops
soothe life's scabrous pains
'til the heart finds Love's sustaining sea

Excellent four line poem. Love the time and teardrops. Had to look up scabrous and it fits perfectly. Nicely done

For many people it does take time and tears before they find a true lasting love in their lives. And then, if the both do not tend the garden, they are back to time and tears.
