Writers do not know what, why and where they get writer's block and where from muse will generate, nothing is probable, muse is unexpected; well said, well done; enjoyed the read; thanks for sharing this; keep writing. Wish good luck in the contest. ALCREATOR

This is a great contest entry, Deb. I enjoyed reading it. The lines/words flowed smoothly down the page. The imagery was outstanding. I could see everything your mentioned. I like the part mear the end where you take your sweet ice tea to the porch, look at stars, find God, and inspiration. Thanks for sharing and best wishes.
Respectfully, Jan

Ah, that itchy trigger finger -- always puts at least one letter out of place! I thought I got them all, but I do appreciate your sharp eye and the catch. :)
Blessings and many thanks,
Deb

I take a seat.
I will wait on her and
we will have the magical conversaitons
all writers have with their other self.
Hi Deb, lovely entry for the contest, we always struggle with our inspiration Goddess. Just a small correction - conversaitons should be conversation. Thank you for sharing and good luck with the contest.

Your poem is in the image of a pen. Did you realize that? This is poem that "struggles" with you throughout the day, fashioning itself regardless of the interruptions. Shows how the ordinary everydayness is poetry. You live within a poem - simple as that! Wish I had a six.

Such a great description of real life as a writer with all of the typical interruptions! And I love that when you really get down to writing, you feel that connection to the Lord!
Typos:
"I'm back at the comuter," (computer)

I liked this. This kind of thing happens at my house, too. I especially like the way you ended it--inspiring. You wrote it with humor and wrote it well. I enjoyed reading it.

Thank you so much. If we don't have humor, nothing quite works, does it. I appreciate your review and kind words. :)
