You have made excellent use of the nine syllables the prompt allows.
Your lovely, symbolic poem conveys a powerful message about how the
dark places or times in our lives can subside or at least lose some of their steam when faced by positivity. Taken literally, the poem praises nature for its healing, comforting powers.

A very beautiful thought, leading to the simple 2-5-2 poem. And so true. Bright sunlight is sometimes so tiresome, forces one's eyes to squint, and makes the skin burn. It must be the other way around too: tiresome because it costs a lot of energy to stream down with such force. Let's both take some rest in a shady place. There is such peace...

Author what a beautiful picture and such a tremendous feeling of tranquility and peace is experienced first from looking at the picture but even more after combined with your eloquent words. You met the requirements and you said much with so few words.

A very well-written 2-5-2 poem about the difference a few rays of sun can do to a place that look cold and empty. With the sun shining through the trees change the scene to a peaceful one.

loved it short and sweet packs a lot of wisdom in so few words that is the beauty of haiku and other short poems - you got it just right like the contrast between shadows and sunlight which are mirrored images of each other
