Your profoundly meaningful, thought-provoking poem is vividly descriptive of the times, the chaos and uncertainties we face, and how our "mirrors" are in multiple shards.

Thank you for reading and reviewing my poem. I can't help but vent my feelings, as times are tough lately. Thanks again.

Thank you for sharing your social commentary as a response to the challenging prompt. I agree with your conclusions and am not optimistic. I am impressed that you were able to create your response in rhymed quatrains. Your matching picture selection is mesmerizing. Best wishes in the contest- Joan

Hello my friend
A fine entry for the Mirror Poem writing prompt contest. Your words touched my heart. I think you speak for many. This year we all got our share of pain and division. It's time to heal.

A very well-written poem about the reflection in our eyes that reveal to us what is going on in our soul, when there is pain and heartache, we can see it in the eyes, or joy and love any one is able to see it in your eyes.

We have been through some particularly trying times of late and it is hard to stay positive when our relatives are dying and the future looks bleak, but we humans never stay down for long. Your last stanza is quite sad, love Dolly x

This poem really shows what life is like for many people during this trying time in our history. I like the last line about there being hope for a better future! Exceptional poem! Six stars!

Yes, indeed, eyes are the mirror of the soul and I have always believed that. The problem is that most people cannot read them. Your work is exactly right and I admire the way you put this so well. I can often see sadness, or pain, in people's eyes, especially those who hope not to reveal and therefore put on a 'happy face'. Your work is especially valid at this time, although I am not sure when this was written. Well done.

Thank you for this great review and the 6 stars. What is happening now is what inspired me to write this. I'm dismayed by the destruction and violence against innocent people. I hope better times are coming. Thank you again for reading.

Oh, yes, your words echo the feelings of so many of us and you rhymed it, too. Your illustration pairs perfectly with your poem. This is very well done.

Very well done and relevant to what is going on in the world today. But what about hope? When I look into a mirror, I still see hope. It's because we're Americans that we will overcome.

Thank you for reading. The hope comes at the end, when not knowing how to change things, yet still be willing to walk through fire in order to effect change. I have a lot of hope for us as a nation because I love my country. Thanks again for reading. :)

When you look straight into someone's eyes, it usually tells that they are lying or telling the truth. I do have to agree with you that what has gone on the last few weeks is very trying. But we know right from wrong and that God is watching, too.

That's true...and I have a lot of hope that this will be resolved. We have gone through worse as a country. Thank you for reading.
