I really enjoyed how you emphasize family unity and love. When people love someone they feel their experiences with them. Now when a woman gets pregnant her and her husband will say "we're pregnant" when someone goes to prison they say your family is doing your time with you. In this case when a loved one gets sick you feel sick as well. True love means true empathy. That's what I love about this story. Very nice writing.
