A loving tribute to your sick sister. Your love just shines through this poem. Your picture pairs beautifully with your poignant words of prayer. This poem is very nicely done.

Thank you so much for such a lovely and caring review. It means a lot to me. And yes, I love my sister very very much. I have six sisters and cannot bear the thought of losing even one of them.

The prayers we make for others are the most powerful of all, so this has been awarded a six in honour of your love and devotion to your sister Ann
We must all eventually bow to the inevitable, but we can plead for the time to be as eased and pleasurable as possible until our dear one's eyes close for the last time. The feelings you have for Ann are clearly expressed in the words "Open her windows let comfort come in". That is all we can ask for our loved ones. The relief of suffering and the easy transition from this life to the awakening to Life Eternal. My husband waited until my daughter-in-law was there before he "left" which was a sure indication of his ongoing devotion to me. It was a comfort in the days to come as I tried to get a semblance of understanding of his feelings during his last days on earth . I do know he was glad to go as he was suffering from Lung Cancer and every breath was agony Every journey is different and they all end differently. But the beginning of the next part is wonderful. I hope and pray that Ann will begin hers very soon. all the best Cass

Thank you for the six stars, but most of all thank you for the beautiful, heartfelt review. I have six wonderful sisters, all seven of us born in nine years. My father died 50 years ago of lung cancer, so we all grew up very close with my mom only. The thought of having five sisters instead of six is unbearable to me but I put my faith in God and know that he does what is best. I am sorry you had to lose your husband that way. Thank you for this beautiful and very personal note.

    Blessings,
    Terry

What an amazing poem in honor of your sister and the strength she has had in making it through each day.

I pray for your comfort as well as hers. I feel the depth of your love for her in this emotional writing.

God bless you both;-)

A very well-written heartfelt poem about a sister suffering from her cancer and a prayer to ask God to make here last few weeks bearable without pain until she can meet the creator.

This is a very poignant prayer and I see here your empathy and compassion for your sister. When someone we love is going through so much pain it is hard to bear. Does one wonder what it all means, this suffering at the end of one's life? God have mercy. Bless you :)Ralf

...I have a dear friend who lost both parents to cancers and now two sisters are struggling. Her whole family might be wiped out in a couple of years. She is so strong for them - her love, her devotion I'm sure is similar to yours. It is all we can do as we hand them over to God. I can tell you are a beautiful person - just love them. That is your strength

I will pray for you and your sister, Therese. Your poem reads like a prayer. The lines are smooth with great rhymes and imagery--although poignant. I know what it is too lose a sister--too soon for me. Take care.
Respectfully, Jan

It felt like a prayer while I wrote it. There is only prayer left. I do not want to lose her, yet I want her suffering to end. I am sorry you lost your sister also. Such unbelievable pain. Thank you Jan.

Thank you for sharing this prayer for Anne, Terry! I prayed with you and I feel the same thing, too. My son-in-law's sister (his closest relative in touch with him) is also dying of ovarian cancer and we also prayed for a miracle. Wouldn't God be glorified by a miracle? But we keep praying for comfort and knowledge of His closeness. The cruelty of pain in this fallen world is too hard to understand.

Yes, it is, but I still pray. It is all I have left. Blessings and prayers to your family also. I hope He has a plan.
Thank you, as always, for being there.
