Hah! Existentialism at its best!
Isn't it interesting how our perception of this topic continually changes with new experiences?
In the backdrop of unlimited possibilities in this universe, doing things over again the same way would most likely be impossible?
So, no worries, I tell myself :)
Yikes!

You are really early with this! Best of luck in the contest, ahead of time. This is so true. Although we think we would do things differently, very likely we'd end up doing the same things. Very attractive presentation with the black on green. judi

I didn't notice the date of the contest. I rarely win but doesn't stop me from wasting my money and entering. judi

LOL!! Oh, yeah, isn't that the truth! It's almost like we say the first part out loud so that people might THINK differently of our decision... but we pretty much know ourselves, don't we?! ;) :) A fun offering for the contest here, LIZ -- and has the ability to make folks do a bit of self-examination (if they actually read it carefully!)... ;) Best of luck in the contest! ;) Yvette

Hello Yvette! So glad you got it! Cheers. LIZ (Contest long over; didn't win, never do--nary so much as mention)

Yes, most everyone can think of a few things they would like to go back and do over. NOT. Few would do anything different, even though they know better. As for me, I made more mistakes than anyone and was wilder than a choked duck, and if they asked if I would do anything different . . . I could only laugh. The only think I would do differently, is more of everything I did wrong! Thanks for sharing.

I''ve often thought if I could go back if I would do things differently and the answer is probably not. I would live it all much the same way, errors and all. I've made a lot of what could be considered mistakes, but I don't have a lot of regrets. Cool poem.

That's always a difficult one, we simply can't go back, but it is an opportunity to do better, that's why we should never worry about yesterday, because fo us it doesn't exist, only an endless future, well done Liz, blessings Roy

I like the way you have doubled back on yourself with this post. It is witty and clever. You have a way of doing this with most of what you write. I enjoyed this poem. Great job on this four-line poem.

Thank you for your encouraging words Annie! As a "poet" I aspire to amateur status--I'm metaphorically challenged; hence hopelessly literal minded--symbolism and nature imagery are a stretch for me; thus I generally say my piece in plain words (and prefer to read such straightforward "poetry"). Cheers LIZ

Your poem clearly shows us the conundrum of how often people which they could do things differently in the past and YET, they are the same people and are prone to be the same. Best wishes in the contest!

Thanks Helen. I wrote this months ago and have been saving it--good thing I checked. (I'd already submitted one for the prior contest.) Cheers. LIZ
