There is something comforting about watching river ripples. That was a joy of mine as a child with creeks.

I can see the ripples in the pond. I also see watchers just standing there watching the water move until it once again becomes calm. Then I see them starting them back up again.

This meets all the requirements, but it's really just a sentence. It needs to tell more of a story or something. I think you could do more with the second line to make that work.
