I appreciate your sentiment and I wish I could agree with your hope. But it seems to me, that humans are the only creatures on this planet that take more than they need and then destroy the very environment that nourishes them. My only thought is, how long will it be before our extinction? Perhaps it's already started. Best wishes.

An interesting concept and title for a poem, and one that more people need to notice. The Edge of Convenience...I wonder how those who thrive on "convenience" would feel about being on the edge of it, possibly about to be plunged into a sea of inconvenience.

Of course, if we truly could grasp the concept of a multiverse, convenience wouldn't exist. A pipe dream? No. It could be reality, if we'd all simply listen.

Great work!

I certainly get the feeling that you are existing on a higher plane of consciousness than most.
The artwork is stunning.
I love the message you bring forth with the poem, and in your notes underneath. Very spiritual. Well done!

A change is needed, and with this pandemic I believe a lot of people are seeking peace and possibility. It is in the solitude of the soul that we come to one-ness. A place where I often dwell in meditation and prayer for the whole-ness of the planet. I love this artwork as well. Great work.

Way to go on a universal outlook in a very gentle parody of sorts of the Pledge of Allegiance. I like the phrase 'infinitely congenial.' What a soulful share today. Very unusual art choice, too.

Thank you kindly for your review! I am happy you enjoyed it. I almost wrote this absent the infinite but felt congenial needed a bit more emphasis. Best wishes to you.

Excellent opening line to set up your theme. I think the last time I heard anyone swear fealty to anyone was in the novel Ivanhoe, but then there aren't too many feudal lords around anymore. Anyway, the universe is more stable than any person and more likely to honor your fealty. It will be a great day indeed when we accomplish the universal understanding and respect you propose.

This is super creative and with the current environment, it may create with in us a question of what else is out there. This could have been used in GOTG! Interesting take on the Pledge from here on earth. Thanks, C.

I really enjoyed "The Edge of Convenience"

You have a unique voice absolutely your own. This poem made me smile, I especially like the "(s)" in world(s), as it brought us to your vision and idea. I thought it was clever that you used the structure of "The Pledge of Allegiance".

Such a unique voice

Welcome indeed Opal Rose. ( I love your Pen Name). I agree that our fealty should be much more inclusive than just to a a block, a street, a city or even a country. This is a very large world that exists inside a very large galaxy, that exists inside a plethora of galaxies. So we in our suddenly very tiny space can think for one moment that swearing our allegiance to a specific place is a big deal, just might be a bit presumptive. Very nice write.
