This poem says you want to use ground cover instead of grass for your lawn. It would seem strange to have a blue lawn instead of a green one. Maybe you can borrow a neighbor's mower until you can get a new one.

Thanks, Joan. Unfortunately, the yard is a steep cliff-side, and not really conducive to mowing. :( I ended up just ripping out the rye grass by hand on Saturday, and hopefully I got most out by the roots and before it could drop seed.

Thanks, Gypsy. Yeah, I tend to overdo exclamation marks, ellipses, and parentheses. I will work on it.

There are lots of really pretty ground covers... a lady up the street from me has all of these little blue flowers too... they aren't that though, I'm not sure what they're called. Dolly wrote about them at some point! LOL Before you decide, check them all out! :) Alyssum gets sooo awesome! (if it will grow where you are)

Thanks for the ground cover information. I looked it up and you can get 1,000 seeds for about $5. I hope you find a good remedy. I am overrun with forget-me-nots. Finally, I get to review your post while it's still active.

LOL! I love forget-me-nots! I have those too! They seed themselves, thank goodness. I love them!
