These are precisely my sentiments. Sorry I missed this when it was first posted, but I'm enjoying it now. Great choice of rhyming words and terrific message. Do you think mankind will heed this advice? Probably not. Don't worry, by the time we ruin our planet completely, man will have landed on another one (that he can plunder). Hugs, Lou

Very well written, I really don't understand some of these lock downs that are still in place, especially the AFL as they say training is to be in groups but those groups are using the same Sherrin ? and yes it is time we pay attention to Mother Earth, thank you for sharing****kahpot

Hi Bob,
I pray all is well with you, as well as your family during this pandemic. What a great title, Mother Earth for this inspiring poem of hope? This is such a motivating poem for me or anyone, to try to do much more to take care of this beautiful Mother Earth God gave us. We haven't done as much I believe as we could do, Bob. Some things such as recycling more, using less water in the home, and definitely telling our children and grandchildren about these things also. Mother Earth is our only home and I believe we ALL can do better-taking care of it. We all have been isolated too long. It will change over time. Well-done. No errors I found. Happy writing:-)

Bob,
I enjoyed and respected your poem. Your words
ring true, we must wake up and change our ways.
This pandemic may be God's warning. There are
a multitude of sin's we will pay for if we only think
of ourselves. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks for a great response. I appreciate and agree with your comments. Sadly, I fear only a minority of people will take heed of the warning. The apathy of others will punish us all.

This is a great tribute to our Mother Earth, yes, definitively, we have forgotten it in these last pandemic days. We walk into the beach often and I can see the desecration of the sand, empty bottles, discarded like in a trash can. We should know better...

I totally agree, we should know better. But I fear we'll quickly fall back into our apathetic ways and not learn the lesson. Thank you for the review.

I enjoyed this poem. You are so right. This virus thing is a warning to the whole world that we polluted and poisoned this earth too long and now we are reaping what we have sown. America is opening everything back up too soon I think. I know it is hurting the economy but is worth all the lives that are being lost. I wonder if we've learned anything.

I agree with you, we are moving far too quickly. I'd rather delay one extra month than to bring on a recurrence.

Yes Bob, I wrote a poem on Creation striking back at a very arrogant and pernicious foe in man. But like you this is a warning to mankind that if we don't curb our wanton and wicked ways, He'll show who's really in charge. Well done Bob, an excellent prophetic post. Scripture says there'll be a great harvest, by sending a unbeatable foe He's done this. Well done, blessings Roy

Well written warning about taking care of our planet. I've heard that there has been some "healing" in the oceans while humans have been banned from getting too close. The air is clearer too with less cars on the roads. Of course, once we're all out there again, we'll probably resume the destruction.

You are correct, the oceans and the air are benefiting from the absence of human involvement. But I'm sure we humans can stuff it all up again once the lock down eased up.

Yes I wonder if we will actually pay attention at all to Mother Earth when all this episode is over - we humans can be quite deaf as we wait impatiently for the end of the pandemic -thanks for sharing and reminding us

I would love to think we might learn the lesson of complacency, but I fear not. It's hard to believe we human beings, allegedly the smartest of God's creations are also the dumbest when it comes to common sense

A very well-written thought-provoking poem about the earth that has a good healing the past few weeks that we are all in isolation, but we have to go back to work one or other time, but I do hope we will give more attention to the state of our environment.

Sandra, thank you for reading and reviewing. I appreciate your comment and I hope you're correct. Sadly, the pessimist in me fears we humans are either too dumb or maybe just too lazy to care. I fear we'll all too quickly slip back into our apathetic ways.
